With over 30 years’ experience in the music industry, Alex Avanzato has had many roles with the scene that have positioned him to become the reputable manager and booking agent that he is today. Representing and nurturing some of the biggest artists alongside having a wealth of contacts that only come from someone who has worked relentlessly with a fierce passion for music for many years.
His humble beginnings started out in Sicily, where at the age of 16 he was a promoter with his own party, giving himself a name on the island, which he soon outgrew, prompting a move to London. Not speaking a word of English, he worked as a kitchen porter, whilst looking for opportunities in music, where he landed the job running the guestlist for EGG London and Aquarium Club in Old Street, which at the time was the only after party in the city with a 24-hour license.
Throughout these jobs, he managed to build up a substantial number of contacts that enabled him to get back to doing what he knew best, running his own parties. ‘One More’ was an illegal rave which ran for years before they took over Hearn Street car park which they had the exclusivity on for 5 years, but the licence was revoked by the police due to the noise complaints.
Forcing him to look at other options, he later moved the party to an old church in Hackney, which was still used every Sunday for Gospel and prayer service. The raves ran on Fridays and Saturdays, stopped for Sunday Service and then continued Sunday evenings into Monday morning, as one of the city’s leading afterhours. The location and party generated a massive following and was also used for corporate events and Radio 1 events over its years.
Through his events, it was when he landed the bookings exclusively for Steve Lawyer that things changed, and he became his agent for his worldwide shows as well as his Viva Warriors brand. This took him all over the world and ended up in Ibiza running the residency at Sankeys for 3 years in a row, and it was here that he really started to integrate into the scene on the island.
It was during his time in Ibiza that he was approached by Jospeh Capriati as their booking agent and moved to work with their team. With a head strong passion for always pushing further, Alex successfully signed his own projects working with Luigi Madonna and Enzo Siragusa and his FUSE brand in 2018 which he continued up to the time of the pandemic.
After covid passed, he was introduced to Indira. Their connection was special from the first meeting, and he saw an untapped amount of talent, and raw passion in this young female from Madrid that he wanted to explore. Their working relationship developed quickly, with Alex spearheading a strategy for Indira to break into the international music scene. After 3 months he became her manager, and then another 6 months passed before they both embarked on being business partners with the ARTCORE brand.
Now 3 years later, Alex has developed and nurtured Indira into an internationally recognised star, positioning her perfectly to grow her career organically but at a phenomenal pace. Together they have cultivated ARTCORE’s ethos into a massively successful music label, carving out a niche genre, a sound and style of music that is like no other, whilst actively advising on the brand high end merchandise which sells out in record speeds every time they drop a new collection.
In 2025 they have taken ARTCORE around the world, with a tour bigger than ever before, and has also build a brand-new management company, CTH – that is helping to develop the careers of other artists he and Indira are deeply excited about. With his vision, experience, determination and relentless work ethic, he stands as one of the most loved yet respected colleagues to many.
