Folkert Koopmans is the CEO and founder of FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen GmbH. Before founding FKP Scorpio in 1990, he worked as a freelance promoter and talent buyer for renowned clubs such as “Große Freiheit 36” and “Docks.”
Today, FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen GmbH is one of Europe’s largest event organisers, with offices in ten countries and more than 400 employees. Its festival portfolio includes Hurricane, Southside, Highfield, M’era Luna, Plage Noire, Rolling Stone Beach, Metal Hammer Paradise, Hamburger Kultursommer, and Deichbrand. Internationally, FKP Scorpio hosts Provinssi (FI), Syd for Solen (DK), Greenfield (CH), Best Kept Secret (NL), Lido Sounds (AT), and many more.
Koopmans’ artist roster features musical giants such as The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, James Blunt, Billy Talent, and Sam Fender, to name just a few.
