Monika Udovičić currently serves as State Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia. In this role, she is responsible for the implementation of government policies across four key administrative areas: Strategic Planning, Digitalization and EU Funds; Sustainable Development and Competitiveness of Tourist Destinations; Entrepreneurship Development, Investments and Competitiveness of the Tourism Economy; and the System of Tourist Boards, Categorization and Legal Affairs. Prior to her current position, she served as Director of the Directorate for the System of Tourist Boards, Categorization and Legal Affairs (2021–2024), where she led regulatory and administrative frameworks related to tourism governance. From 2017 to 2021, she held the role of Assistant Minister for Categorization and Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Tourism, where she coordinated the Directorate’s overall work and contributed to key legislative processes in the Sector.
Her experience in public service also includes a term as a Member of the Croatian Parliament in 2016.
She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb. Her academic background is further complemented by participation in several professional development programs, including the Academy for Political Development (2024), the “Women in Politics and Society” program (2016–2018), and the “Political Academy” (2010–2011), all organized by the Croatian Statehood Foundation. She graduated from Juraj Dobrila Gymnasium and Vocational School in Pazin, with a focus on general secondary education.
